Summary: Built of iron
Comment: Ok, so I'm not terribly impressed with the complexity of the games I've seen, but my son loves it! The really impressive piece is the sheer punishment-taking ability of the device. I have 3 kids from 5.9 to 3.o years of age, and this thing has rebounded from wall to floor any number of times. Re-seat the cartridge, occasionally hit the reset button, and it keeps on working. Why can't they build PDAs (grown-up toys) like that??

Summary: worth every penny
Comment: We purchased the handheld vsmile when it first came out. Our son was 4, which was over 2 years ago. And he still plays with it. We travel alot and we take it on every trip, in the car or plane. It really keeps him occupied in the airport. Ours has been very durable and practically beat to death. We use the ac adapter alot. We have the rechargable battery pack but the charge is so short now. My son has gotten hours and hours of playtime out of this toy. I am only disappointed with rechargable battery really not keeping its charge.

Summary: Kids Love It!
Comment: My 6 yr old daughter got one of these for Christmas 2006. I read the on line reviews and was a little apprehensive. But we have had no problem with the performance of the toy and she loves it. My younger daughter (3 yrs old) would try to take the older one's V Smile and they'd fight over it. So we got the 3 year old the pink V Smile and she loves it. Its great to take on trips and they do learn from it. I highly recommend this toy.

Summary: V.Smile system for my son
Comment: I love the games and my son is learning so much from them but the system itself keeps failing, this is the second one we have bought because my 4 year old son loves the games but they seem to have a lot of problems and it is starting to cost us too much money to have to keep replacing the system after a few months, we also noticed a problem with the electrical cord and had to replace it three time,If someone was to purchase this I would highly recommend getting an extented warrenty.

Comment: I like the V-smile joystick style so when this handheld version came out, I sure bought it right away. I like the portability but it died out in few months of usage. The joystick version is still working but this one say goodbye:(
